Christian faith is more than the acceptance of a set of ideas. It is a response to God's love, a trust in Jesus Christ, and a willingness to let the Word of God shape our beliefs, character, decisions, and relationships. The principles of faith provide a biblical foundation for understanding who God is, what He has revealed, and how believers are called to live.
For Seventh Day Adventist Reform Movement believers, the study of faith includes careful attention to the whole counsel of Scripture, the life and teachings of Jesus, the commandments of God, the work of redemption, and the hope of Christ's return. These subjects are not meant to remain abstract doctrines; they should influence worship, family life, service to others, and the choices made in everyday life.
Studying the principles of faith also means learning to examine teachings thoughtfully. The Bible remains the essential standard by which beliefs and practices are tested. Prayerful study, humility, and a willingness to follow truth help believers grow in understanding while developing a faith that is active in love.
